Competition categories

  • Pedal harp
  • Celtic (levers) harp (upper age threshold in group E — 40 years old)

*In the "Celtic harp" category the program must be performed in one round

Repertoire

Pedal harp

Group A — at least two, maximum three pieces of different characters

Group B — at least two, maximum four pieces of different character from different eras

Group C — at least two, maximum four pieces, with the obligatory inclusion in the program of a piece of the Baroque or Classicism era, as well as Romanticism era

Group D
— First round:

  • A piece of the Baroque / Classicism era
  • A virtuoso piece of the era of Romanticism / early twentieth century (it is permissible to perform two pieces of one of the eras, preferably contrasting in character)
  • A piece of the participant's choice*

— Second round:

  • A large-scale form composition (concert (one or several parts), fantasy, variations, suite, etc.)
  • A piece of the participant's choice (performance of two pieces is permissible)*

Group E
— First round:

  • A piece of the Baroque / Classicism era
  • A virtuoso piece of the era of Romanticism / early twentieth century period
  • A contemporary piece (XX - XXI centuries)
    • (it is permissible to perform two pieces of one of the eras, preferably contrasting in character)

— Second round:

  • A large-scale form composition (concert (one or several parts), fantasy, variations, suite, etc.)
  • A piece of the participant's choice (performance of two pieces is permissible)*

Celtic (levers) harp

Group A (up to 9 minutes) — at least two, maximum three pieces of different characters

Group B (up to 15 minutes) — at least two, maximum four pieces of different character from different eras

Group C (up to 20 minutes) — A program representing various genres of levers harp performance (2 — 4 pieces). It is permissible for the performer to use additional instruments and his own voice

Group D (up to 30 minutes) — A program representing various genres of levers harp performance (2 — 6 pieces). It is permissible for the performer to use additional instruments and his own voice

Group E (up to 30 minutes) — A program representing various genres of levers harp performance (2 — 6 pieces). It is permissible for the performer to use additional instruments and his own voice
